About Us

Roger A. Adams, DVM

Dr. Roger Adams completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Animal and Dairy Science at Auburn University in 1984 and went on to earn his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. He began practicing veterinary medicine at Northside Animal Hospital and Westside Veterinary Hospital until he established Sand Mountain Small Animal/Equine Hospital in 1991. Dr. Adams has a special interest in small animal surgery and equine medicine.

Dr. Adams and his wife Deborah have two children, Wyatt and Parker Adams, as well as a granddaughter, Anna Claire Adams. He is a founding member of the Boaz City Schools Board of Education, a member and deacon at First Baptist Church Boaz, and has coached little league baseball, football, and basketball. Dr. Adams enjoys spending time with his family, frequent visits to Lake Guntersville, playing golf, and of course, his family pets.
